This is the first in a series of 55 short films commissioned by Truro Cathedral. We were delighted to collaborate with University College Falmouth on this interesting project, which sees each of our films triggered by the placing of a specific object on an interactive mat using 3D scan technology. The films will appear on a TV screen at the back of the cathedral when members of the public scan replicas of the various items to be found in the building – a chalice triggers a film about The Eucharist, for example. With our short films telling the stories of the scanned items that prompt them, the result is an educational resource that allows people to engage with the cathedral’s history and heritage.
What they said about us:
“We are thrilled with the short piece Three S Films has produced about our Cathedral Choristers. They have managed to capture the heart of the very special thing our young singers do each day, subtly putting across the young singers’ dedication, excellence, sense of fun and ever-present humour. Both artistically and technically, their experienced and professional approach made the filming enjoyable for everyone involved. It has been beautifully shot and we could not be more pleased.”
